We saw lots of flowers, lots of bikes and lots of sun. Was great to spend some time with Catherine who I see far too little off considering she lives in London and not in NZ! We flew to Amsterdam on Friday and met at the airport as we both flew from our respective cities. Friday afternoon we spent just wandering around trying to get our bearings. Saturday we did a bike tour with Mikes Bikes which Simon and I try and do in most cities that we visit. It was great fun, we saw windmills and clogs and cheese, what more could you wish for in Holland? Of course we were in Amsterdam to see the tulips, so on Sunday we hired bikes and took a train out to Haarlem and then rode to the Kerkenhof which was about 20km there and back. Was a beautiful day we got very burnt but the ride was worth it when we got to the park. It was incredible. So many flowers! Catherine was in heaven!
On Monday we did a bit of shopping and then made our way back to the airport and back to our respective cities. Was a great weekend and would love to visit it again.
